| April | 9 | Pierce Brosnan, who played Agent 007 in four of the James Bond movies before being dropped from the series last year, has resumed the role of a suave spy in television ads for beer that began airing in Portugal this month. The two 45-second spots "recreate situations that could have been lifted from the films which made the actor famous, namely the movies from the James Bond saga", Portuguese brewer Central de Cervejas said in a statement. The ads were filmed over four days earlier this year at various locations in the Portuguese capital and are part of a $9.2-million advertising campaign the company has underway for a new dark beer it put on the market last year.
