Céline Marie Claudette Dion (born March 30, 1968 in Charlemagne, Quebec) is a Canadian singer. By the age of five she was performing for anyone who would listen. At the age of 12, Dion composed a song in her native French and sent it to a record company, where it garnered the attention of René Angélil, a manager. In 1981 they released her first record in her native French language, "La Voix du bon Dieu" ("The Voice of God"), which made her an instant star in Quebec. Her debut album was the theme song of Disney's Beauty and the Beast (1991). She married René Angélil in 1994, having 1 child.
