Biography |

Lindsay Lohan was born in New York. She was a straight 'A' student at her local school and excels at math and science. She also enjoys gymnastics, swimming, ice skating, roller blading, singing, biking, reading, writing, and playing with her siblings.
Career: Acting
Lohan began her career as a model for the Ford Academy at the age of three. As a child, Lohan appeared in more than 60 commercials and was a regular on soap operas, spending several months as Allison "Alli" Fowler on "Another World", where she delivered more dialogue than any other 10-year-old in a daytime series.
As a teenager, Lohan starred in two Disney Channel original movies, "Life-Size" and "Get a Clue" and played Bette Midler's daughter in the first episode of the short-lived series "Bette" before bowing out when the production moved from New York to Los Angeles.
She moved on to a film career in 1998, reprising Hayley Mills' role in Disney's remake of the 1961 Mills vehicle "The Parent Trap". Lohan's next feature film, a remake of the 1976 classic "Freaky Friday", came five years later in Summer 2003. Lohan portrayed the protagonists in the 2004 Disney films "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen and Mean Girls."
In 2005, Lohan starred in "Herbie: Fully Loaded," the fifth film in Walt Disney Pictures' long-dormant Herbie series. By the end of 2005, Lohan had completed filming the independent Emilio Estevez film "Bobby", opposite Elijah Wood.
Career: Singing
Lohan is currently pursuing a pop music career concurrent with her career in films, and performed her song "Ultimate" in "Freaky Friday". On July 13, 2004, Lohan signed a recording contract with Casablanca Records. Her album, Speak, was issued on December 7, 2004, and reached #4 on the Billboard charts. She had previously recorded some singles for her starring role in "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen."
Others
In early 2005, Lohan exhibited dramatic weight loss, leading to reports suggesting an eating disorder and/or drugs. She told People magazine, "I got a trainer ... Just old-school working out." Later, in a 4 January 2006 interview for Vanity Fair, Lohan admitted using drugs "a little" but denied ever using cocaine, calling it a "sore subject". The article said she had recovered from "bulimic episodes". A few days later, Lohan claimed she was "appalled" that her words were "misused and misconstrued" for the story; but Vanity Fair quickly replied that her interview is "on tape."
