James Marsden (born 18 September 1973, Stillwater, Oklahoma, USA) is an American actor. He has two sisters: Jennifer and Elizabeth. He attended Oklahoma State University and joined the Delta Tau Delta fraternity. He graduated from Putnam City North High School (located in Oklahoma City) class of 1991. His father is a Distinguished Professor of Animal Sciences & Industry at Kansas State University. He played Cyclops in the film X2 and will now play Lois Lane's love interest, Richard White, in Bryan Singer's upcoming Superman Returns. He married to Lisa Linde (22 July 2000-present) and together they have 1 child.
