Holly Rachel Vukadinovic/Holly Rachel Valance was born on 11th May 1983 in New Zealand, to parents Rachel and Ryko. Both her parents were fashion models and her father is a pianist and guitarist. Her parents live in Melbourne with Holly's two younger sisters, Coco Melody, and Olympia Montana. She was educated at the Star of the Sea College, a Catholic high school located in Melbourne, Victoria. In her early teens, Holly did modelling for catwalk shows, commericals, editorial and catalogues. After leaving school, she started a three year contract on the popular Australian soap "Neighbours" (1985) as feisty Felicity Scully. She left the show in August 2002 to further pursue her pop career. Holly's first single was Kiss Kiss which was released in 2002 (based on Tarkan's hit single Simarik). In 2002 she won the British GQ Award for "Woman of the Year". She likes to swim, go for walks and even watch kickboxing after previously practising Muay Tai. In 2003 she fired her then-manager Scott Michaelson by fax, 15 months before her contract was due to expire. Biscayne Partners Pty. Ltd. sued Valance Corp., won their case and were awarded damages by the High Court of Australia.
