Ethan Hunt is the leader of the Impossible Mission Force, an impeccable U.S. intelligence team. Their mission is to stop a Russian agent from stealing a computer disk that contains the true identities of undercover spies. However, things go terribly wrong, and only Hunt and Phelps's wife survive the debacle. As a result, Ethan is wrongly labeled a traitor and a mole by his employer. To clear his name, the toothsome agent assembles a new team, and together they set out to apprehend the crafty criminal who set him up, using all the wits, firepower, and gadgets they can muster.
